Rs.2,000 worth dry rations given to 110 families

More than Rs.200,000 worth of dry rations were distributed among 110 families at Mahabellana and Bolgoda in Bandaragama by the Board of Trustees of the Ganga Sri Thunbodhi Temple which is located near the Bolgoda bridge. The event was held to mark the dawning of the New Year. Each family received a bag of dry rations worth Rs.2,000.00. The beneficiaries were selected by Grama Niladahries of the respective areas. Ganga Sri Thunbodhi temple has a 300 year-history. It was renovated about two years ago after the construction of the new bridge. Thousands of devotees including travellers on the Horana- Panadura main road attend religious observances at the Ganga Sri Thunbodhi Temple.
