JAICA celebrates Emperor Akihito’s 80th birthday

The JAICA alumni association held a bodhi pooja and pirith chanting ceremony at the Gangaramaya in Colombo 2 to invoke blessings on Emperor Akihito of Japan on his 80th birth anniversary.

Japan’s Ambassador Nobuhito Hobo is seen lighting the oil lamp at the start of the bodhi pooja. Ms. Tomomi Hobo was also present.
