Yasiru’s match bag of twelve helps Rahula overcome Piliyandala Central
Right arm off spin bowler Yasiru Hewanadugala’s match bag of twelve wickets helped Rahula College Matara register a seven wicket win against Piliyandala Central College yesterday (8th). The under 19 division two tournament match was played at the Piliyandala Central College grounds.
Batting first, Piliyandala Central were restricted to 146 runs. Anuj Koliyet scored 56 runs while Yasiru Hewanadugala 4 for 50 and Harsha Rajapkse 3 for 29 shared the wickets. Piliyandala Central’s Heshan Madhusanka and Tharanga Amilendra captured three wickets each to keep the Rahula batsman at bay. Rahula ended their innings with only a 21 run lead. In their second innings the home team were spun out for 112 by Yasiru who captured eight wickets for 47 runs.
Yasiru Hewanadugala has captured sixty wickets in the nine outings this season.
