Overseas Realty wins Silver for Annual Report
Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC (ORCL) was honored with the Silver Award under the Land and Property Companies’ category, for its Annual Report – 2012, at a presentation ceremony held at the Grand Ballroom, Waters Edge Battaramulla on the 10th of December 2013, arranged by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka(CA)
A distinguished panel of judges comprising of professionals closely perused various Annual Reports in the initial selection process. The Awards were given on the basis of adherence to financial reporting standards, social and corporate governance responsibilities amongst Sri Lankan business entities.
This competition is a platform to encourage excellence in financial reporting amongst diversified Sri Lankan business organizations. Further, the competition highlights that the private sector has to play a major role in society to ensure corporate governance.
The Annual Report - 2012 of Overseas Realty was assembled on the theme “Delivering a Sustainable Future.” Overseas Realty, the owner, developer and manager of the iconic World Trade Center Colombo and the Havelock City Project is a Board of Investment flagship company incorporated in Sri Lanka in 1980, to undertake the principal activities of investment in properties, property development, and property trading and management.
