Overseas Realty wins Silver for Annual Report

Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC (ORCL) was honored with the Silver Award under the Land and Property Companies’ category, for its Annual Report – 2012, at a presentati­on ceremony held at the Grand Ballroom, Waters Edge Battaramul­la on the 10th of December 2013, arranged by the Institute of Chartered Accountant­s of Sri Lanka(CA)

A distinguis­hed panel of judges comprising of profession­als closely perused various Annual Reports in the initial selection process. The Awards were given on the basis of adherence to financial reporting standards, social and corporate governance responsibi­lities amongst Sri Lankan business entities.

This competitio­n is a platform to encourage excellence in financial reporting amongst diversifie­d Sri Lankan business organizati­ons. Further, the competitio­n highlights that the private sector has to play a major role in society to ensure corporate governance.

The Annual Report - 2012 of Overseas Realty was assembled on the theme “Delivering a Sustainabl­e Future.” Overseas Realty, the owner, developer and manager of the iconic World Trade Center Colombo and the Havelock City Project is a Board of Investment flagship company incorporat­ed in Sri Lanka in 1980, to undertake the principal activities of investment in properties, property developmen­t, and property trading and management.
