ComBank’s e-Exchange in special UAE promo
Commercial Bank of Ceylon promoted its e-Exchange remittance service i n a colourful year-end campaign in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by organising a roadshow and ‘Sri Lankan Night’ in December.
Branches of Al Ahalia Exchange, one of the main business partners of Commercial Bank in the UAE in f ive Emirates-- Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Ras alKhaimah-- participated in the roadshow held recently.
Two popular Sri Lankan artistes flown to the UAE for the promotion joined representatives of Commercial Bank to greet e-Exchange customers and pose for photographs with them at selected branches in the five Emirates.
Commercial Bank Deputy General Manager Marketing Hasrath Munasinghe, Chief Manager e-Banking Centre Pradeep Banduwansa and UAE Market Co-coordinator Sanjeev Piyaratne represented the bank at the roadshow.
Commercial Bank also felicitated Sri Lankan staff members of exchange houses in the UAE by presenting them with special certificates in appreciation for their efforts to promote Commercial Bank’s e-Exchange service at ‘Ahalia Sri Lankan Night’ – a gala event at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Deira, Dubai. Every invitee that attended the event received a handsome Commercial Bank branded gift.
One of the bank’s key strengths is its islandwide network of 235 branches and service points and its network of 585 ATMs, which is the largest automated cash dispensing system owned by a single bank in Sri Lanka.
Recipients of remittances sent to the bank enjoy many benefits such as over 50 holiday banking centres and supermarket counters, a 24/7 service point conveniently located in Katunayake, a dedicated customer support call centre for remittances and an SMS alerts facility once the remittance is received and is ready to be paid out.
