Illicit liquor seized

A large stock of illicit liquor including 108 litres of moonshine and 420 litres of Goda and distilling equipment were seized and a suspect arrested by the Mundalama police during a raid on an illegal brewery in a shrub jungle on the bank of a canal.

Police carried out the raid on information received from the public. A police team under Mundalama Police OIC Praneeth Manawadu carried out the raid.
