No more VIP or VVIP stickers; what about DPL stickers?
Aban has been imposed by the Traffic Police DIG against the use of VIP /VVIP stickers as well as tints on vehicle windscreens and shutters because some are known to use these vehicles to transport narcotics and for other nefarious activities. I think the drug peddlers may use the DPL vehicles for the above purposes to overcome the ban. Then why not ban the use of DPL stickers or else at least inspect these vehicles to ensure that drugs are not transported in them. New legislation may have to be introduced regarding DPL vehicles, which enjoy immunity unlike other vehicles, to eliminate any loop holes and to eradicate drug trafficking completely. Mohamed Zahran
