Kandurata Umbrellas introduces new product range
Kandurata Umbrellas, Sri Lanka’s foremost umbrella manufacturer, has unveiled a brand-new range of products, specially for ladies and children.
The new range of Kandurata umbrellas is also designed by the masters of the trade and manufactured using the state-of-the-art machinery at Kandurata Umbrellas manufacturing plants in Kadugannawa, Gampola and Nawalapitiya.
The new range includes umbrellas specially made for ladies, such as Colour Change, Super Shine and Printed Frill umbrellas. The kids’ range includes umbrellas with handles decorated with pictures of water, kitty and duck themes.
The kids range also includes umbrellas with handles decorated with pictures of bears. New introductions of these kinds are not new to Kandurata Umbrellas, which has conquered both the local and international markets.
Since it was founded in 1978, as a sole proprietorship by the late M.H.M. Thajudeen with only 10 employees and four machines as a cottage industry, Kandurata Umbrellas has made a remarkable growth over the years.
Under the dynamic stewardship of Managing Director and Chairman Deshamanya Dr. M.T.M Nawushad and Director Operations M.T.M. Nawufal, who manages the core business Kandurata Umbrellas, which has given employment opportunities to over 1000 people.
Kandurata Umbrellas has already secured the top slot in the market as the manufacturer of ladies’ gents’ and kids’ umbrellas as well as mosquito nets, rain coats and socks. Its excellence was also recognized at the recently held MAS Lanka Business Excellence Awards as one of the 10 best brand names of Sri Lanka.
