Mercantile Investments’ Annual Report wins Gold for 13th time
It was yet another tremendous feat from Mercantile Investments and Finance PLC (MI) to be placed joint gold award winners in the Finance Companies category, at the recently held Annual Report Competition 2013 organized by CA Sri Lanka. The company renowned for its excellence in corporate financial reporting for the past decade has won the gold award previously for 12 consecutive years and has bagged gold for the 13th time.
This prestigious award comes soon after MI’s 2012/13 Annual Report winning two International accolades earlier during the period. MI secured the Bronze award in Financials Diversified services category, at the 2012 Vision Awards of the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP) held in New York in July 2013 while later winning another Bronze at the prestigious International Annual report awards event “the Arc Awards 2013”, for Financial data in the Financial Services general category.
The audited financial statements included in the 2012/13 annual report has been prepared in keeping to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), while the report separately contain other extensive disclosure, financial and nonfinancial in nature, drawing international fame.
