Father of two arrested for alleged rape

A 27 year old man was taken into custody for the alleged rape of an under aged girl at Paragastota in the Millaniya police area.

Initial investigations revealed that he had raped the girl with the consent of her mother.

Police arrested the suspect – a father of two – following a tip off from residents of the area.

The suspect was remanded after being produced before the Horana Magistrate.
