Taiwanese company files winding up petition on PC House

The Company Secretaries of PC House PLC gave notice of a winding up petition filed against the company to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), recently.

The petition against PC House was filed by Kye Systems Corp of Taiwan in the Commercial High Court of the Western Province on October 21, 2013.

“Our lawyers were communicating with the petitioners’ lawyers to amicably resolve the matter and they undertook not to publish the notice until such time however the notice had been published in the newspapers on the 20th December 2013,” the statement noted. It added that discussions with the petitioners’ lawyers are still ongoing however no agreement to withdraw the winding up petition has yet been reached nevertheless adding that the company would continue to “vigorously resist” the application.
