DONSIRISENA

The 28th death anniversary of one of Sri Lanka’s celebrated comedians Don Sirisena falls tomorrow.

Having made his acting debut on stage, he entered the film world via Ariyadasa Peiris’‘Sobana Sitha’ in 1964. Since then he acted in more than 100 films playing the role of comedian. He was also offered a few serious characters to which he did justice. He passed away on January 14, 1986 at the age of 52.
