DIMO introduces 2014 TATA e-XETA compact car

Celebratin­g its 75th anniversar­y, Diesel & Motor Engineerin­g PLC (DIMO) together with TATA Motors, India launched the elegant 2014 TATA e-XETA to the Sri Lanka market at a recent gathering held at the DIMO showroom in Colombo.

The 2014 e-XETA GLX from DIMO boasts a host of premium features unheard of in a car of its price. The car is equipped with 1200 CC, 65 horse power petrol engine, front and rear stylish fog lamps, wooden finish centre console with leather gear shift knob, two-way adjustable front seat headrest, power steering and front and rear power shutters.

In addition, the car comes with a music system with CD, MP3, Bluetooth, two tone alloy wheels, remote key less entry and comprehens­ive two-year or 75,000 km warranty. With all these super cool features e-XETA is priced at an attractive price of Rs.1.8 million.

“Sri Lanka has traditiona­lly been an important market for TATA motors and that e-XETA will help in gaining a much bigger market share in Sri Lanka,” TATA Motors Area Manager for Sri Lanka Pranaw Kumar said.

Tata Motors is already the market leader in commercial vehicles in Sri Lanka and has thus far exported over 70,000 commercial and passenger vehicles to the country. According to TATA, the after sales and pre sales facilities provided by its partner DIMO can be considered to be the main reasons behind its success story.
