Two elephants anointed with oil

Two elephants were anointed with oil at the “Ali Eth Sevana” in the Dehiwala Zoological Gardens

In the wake of the National New Year two elephants were anointed with oil at the “Ali Eth Sevana” in the Dehiwala Zoological Gardens at the auspicious time of 11.16 a.m. yesterday morning under the guidance of the Zoological Gardens Director Anoma Priyadarshani.

Ven. Ihala Hewisse Narada Thera of the Dehiwala Punyawardanarama Temple anointed 65-year-old Bandula and 34-years-old Indi with oil in the presence of Assistant Zoo Director Devmith Rohana, Chief Veterinary Surgeon Ramani Jayalath and her deputies Deepani Nambuge, Ganga Wijesinghe, Prasad Soysa and a few others.
