CHRIS ADAMS TO JOIN SL TEAM AS CONSULTANT

Sri Lanka has decided to obtain the services of former England player and coach Chris Adams for a two-month period during the tour of England as a consultant.

On June 17 last year, Adams along with his first team coach Ian Salisbury was sacked by Surrey County Cricket Club after being their cricket manager for five years.

The 43 year old Adams played five Tests and five One-day Internatio­nals between 1998 and 2000 for England and was an aggressive right-handed batsman, occasional right-arm off-spin

SLC ex-co had given the go ahead yesterday to their selection committee chairman Sanath Jayasuriya to negotiate further with Adams who had reportedly asked US $ 20,000 for the two-month stint.
