Kebitigollewa CDF gifts house to poor family

Kebitigollewa Civil Defence Force has taken a keen interest in social work in the area and the latest was the donation of a house to a poor family who had no fixed abode. The house was constructed by Civil Defence Force personnel under the guidance of the Kebitigollewa Civil Defence Force Headquarters Commanding Officer Y.M. Punchibandara.

The house was handed over at a ceremony where the CDF Director General Ananda Pei- ris was the chief guest. Two civil defence force zones were set up in Yaka Wewa, Hichrapura Ethalawiddawewa, Kahatagollewa, and Kumbukwewa by Rear Admiral Peiris and Seva Vanitha Unit President Kumudini Peiries.

They were also felicitated for their service to the Civil Defence Force in the presence of North-Central Province Chief Minister S.M. Ranjith and senior officials of the CDF.
