Blood donation at Nuwara Eliya

A blood donation campaign organised by the Nuwara Eliya Rotaract Club was held at the Nuwara Eliya Mahagasthota Senanandaramaya Temple Hall on Friday, May 9 under the auspicious of Rotract Club Secretary Anuthara Costa. More than 35 people donated blood which was collected and examined by a group from the Nuwara Eliya General Hospital. They were headed by Dr. A.P.M. Aslam.

Rotaract Chairman Chandimal Wimalarathne said the club consists of young people under the age of 30 and that they were motivated towards social welfare with lots of loving kindness.

Among those who participated at the camp were P. Maheshwaran, the former Chairman of the Parent Rotract Club of Nuwara-Eliya, Rotaract Club Community Service Chairman Pradeep Karunasena, Club Members G. Eastakumar, Ashan, Amith Tuwan and well-wishers.
