Four men athletes to participate in Malaysian Open

The Athletic Selection Committee has decided to make participation of four men athletes at the Malaysian Open Athletic Championship to be held in June 25, 26 and 27 at KL, Malaysia.

The members of the team were selected from their performances at the National Junior Athletic Championship which was held on the first week of May at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo.

Apart from this, eight athletes were selected for Youth Olympic Games, Korea (in August) and twenty for Asian Athletic Junior Championship, Chinese Taipei (in June).

The team for Malaysian Open Athletic championship:

Supun Viraji Randeniya (110m Hurdles), Chanaka Jayasekera (200m, 400m), Thilana Karunaratne (High Jump), and W.A.P. Jayasiri (Long Jump). (SP)
