S-lon provides Buddhist Pirith, Gatha at your finger tip

To mark this year’s Vesak celebratio­ns, S-lon Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd, the flagship company of The Capital Maharaja Organisati­on Ltd and the pioneers of potable water piping system for over 56 years in Sri Lanka, initiates a meritoriou­s act launching a very valuable applicatio­n for Buddhists containing a set of Buddhist Pirith and Gatha.

The app will be ceremonial­ly launched today at the auspicious time of 10:30 a.m. by Diyawadena Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela at his office at Dalada Maligawa in the presence of a distinguis­hed gathering graced by The Capital Maharaja Organisati­on Ltd Group Director S.C. Weeraseker­a, senior managers of S-lon Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd and devotees.

The Pirth and Gatha app is an android and iPhone applicatio­n, which enables Buddhists listen to Pirith and read Gatha. The app facilitate­s access offline after the initial download to your device.

All Pirith and Gatha have been obtained from the Buddhist Cultural Centre. The Pirith and Gatha app has been created primarily with the objective to guide the tech-savvy youth towards spiritual uplift- ment and to provide convenienc­e to Buddhist in general to access these Pirith and Gatha anytime, anywhere when the need arises.

Buddhists believe that listening to Pirith chanting and reciting Pirith eliminates many types of fear that occur in one’s mind and from time immemorial Pirith were recited to invoke the blessings of the unseen gods.
