Nations’ development should reflect value systems: Champika

The very concept of development, as well as the development goals and priorities of a nation should ideally reflect its value systems and philosophical foundations. Therefore the development interests of different people, and different nations, should ideally be vastly different from one nation to another, and from one country to another, Technology and Research Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said.

Minister Ranawaka led a plenary session of the World Conference on Youth 2014 at the BMICH on Friday that focused on global natural resources, their sustainability and environmental impact.
