Allianz sales force gets digital boost

The fully owned subsidiary of Germany-based insurance conglomera­te, Allianz Lanka rewarded their best sales performers by providing company sponsored digital TAB’s in view of i mproving productivi­ty and to strengthen customer intimacy. Sixty eight Allianz sales team members were the recipients of state-of-the-art digital TAB’s, which could enhance their service offering.

Addressing the recipients, Surekha Alles, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Lanka said, “Allianz understand­s the role of digitaliza­tion i n t he i nsurance industry. We witness t hat our customers are increasing­ly becoming tech savvy and their high expectatio­ns always help us to challenge ourselves. Digitaliza­tion is one of our core pillars in the business strategy and providing necessary tools to our staff are part of the action plan”

With t his new developmen­t, Allianz sales staff is at ease to conduct their business at customer ’s door step when soliciting, acquiring new customers and managing t heir existing portfolios. In a market place where papers and hard copies are the order of the day, this new initiative from Allianz, will raise the bar in the industry.

It is expected by end of 2014, 25 percent of Allianz sales staff to be fully digitally enabled to serve their customers at any part of the island. The equipment’s, systems and processes are harmonized to create the desired effect of increasing productivi­ty, efficiency and convenienc­e.

Allianz Lanka continues to pursue an aggressive business strategy in Sri Lanka with expansion of the distributi­on network supplement­ed by digital assets. In 2013, Allianz recorded the highest industry growth of 56 percent and 38 percent over 2012 gross written premiums for life and non-life businesses, respective­ly.
