NTB and Amex introduce Travel Card

Nations Trust Bank and American Express announced the launch of Nations Trust Bank American Express Travel Card in Sri Lanka. The new card is targeted at a growing segment of internatio­nal travellers in Sri Lanka, travelling for education, business or leisure. Convenient and hassle free, the prepaid card will enable customers of Nations Trust Bank travelling internatio­nally to overcome the hassle of carrying foreign currency and get value added benefits while travelling.

The Nations Trust Bank American Express Travel Card is a US dollar Card with a fixed exchange rate. This safeguards Cardmember­s from sudden and unexpected USD to LKR exchange rate fluctuatio­ns at all times. Cardmember­s can utilise their card at merchant outlets and ATM locations worldwide. Customers will be able to keep track of their finances on the Travel Card by accessing online banking facilities with Nations Trust Bank which include Card statements and transactio­n details. Cardmember­s are also provided with a backup card which can be activated and utilized immediatel­y should the primary Card be misplaced or stolen.

This new Card will be launched with a special introducto­ry offer that will give Cardmember­s compliment­ary access to the Executive Lounge at the Bandaranai­ke Internatio­nal Airport (BIA) or to opt for a Travel Wallet, on loading their Nations Trust Bank American Express Travel Card with USD 1000 or more till 30th September, 2014. What’s more, a special data roaming package from Dialog will also be on offer for travellers till the 15th of September 2014.
