Arpico opens retail outlets in Maggona and Bandaragama
The Arpico retail chain in Sri Lanka achieved a milestone in August with the opening of its 50th and 51st retail outlets, in keeping with a fast-tracked expansion plan to widen the brand’s presence outside urban and suburban locations.
The t wo Arpico ‘ Daily’ supermarkets opened in Maggona and Bandaragama, respectively, are a microcosm of the Arpico shopping experience, representing the product diversity and multi-brand choice that are the hallmark of the larger Arpico Supercentres, the company said.
The Arpico Daily outlets offer fast-moving consumer goods, daily essentials, dairy products, fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood, household items such as kitchenware, glassware and plastic items, toys, stationery, garden products and electronics.

customer parking area. It was ceremonially opened by Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne in the presence of Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Kusman De Silva and Richard Pieris Distributors Ltd General Manager New Project Development Noel Wickramasinghe.
The second new Arpico Daily outlet opened at No: 15, Thanayam Watta, Bandaragama, offers the same product range and has similar parking space. Its opening was attended by a team of senior officials of Richard Pieris Distributors Ltd.
