Supply of water to be interrupted for 24 hours

With the ongoing renovations to the pipes transporting water to the Greater Colombo area, the laying of new pipe lines within the Elie House Reservoir was now in progress. Please note that due to this project taking place, water supply to the following areas in Colombo would be interrupted for twenty-four hours commencing from 9.00 pm on October 31(Friday) to 9.00 pm on November 1 (Saturday).

The areas affected by this stoppage would be-: Mattakkuliya, Modera, Muthuwella, Madampitiya, Mahawatte, Kotahena, Grandpass, Bloemendhal Road, George R De Silva Mawatha and all by roads. The Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWS&DB), while regretting any inconvenienced that might be caused to consumers request the public to store sufficient water for their requirements during this period.
