Nava Jaya Sri wins Mayor’s Trophy
Nava Jaya Sri Sports Club won the Mayor's Trophy football tournament 2014 defeating Rantharu Sports Club 1-0 in the final worked off at the Dehiwala Saranankara Ground. The tournament was organised by the Sports, Recreation and Social Welfare Department of the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipality. The trophy and certificates with Rs.25, 000 to the champions of the tournament was awarded to the winners while the runners-up were awarded a trophy, certificates and a cash prize of Rs.20,000.
The awards were presented to the winners in the tournament under the patronage of the Senior Municipal councillor and Chairman of the Sport Committee Raja Pushpalal Rodrigo and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation K.H. Kapila Kumara. –(
