MR. SRI LANKA ON SATURDAY
More than 130 bodybuilders island wide will flex their muscles at the 67th Mr. Sri Lanka contest organized by Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Finesses Federation (SLBBFF) to be held on March 14 at the Kularatne Hall, Ananda College, Colombo.
The winner would receive the challenge cup, certificate, medal, body building equipments and a cash award of Rs. 1,00,000. The first runner-up will receive a challenge cup, certificate, medal and a cash award of Rs. 50,000. The second runner-up will receive a challenge up, certificate, medal and cash award of Rs. 25,000.
Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation president Kapila Kumara said there will be cash award’s of Rs. 5000 from fourth to tenth place winners. In addition they will also receive certificates, medals and body building equipments.
The event will feature bodybuilders from 55kg to 85 kg weight categories. In the junior competition over 40 competitors will battle it out to win the junior title. The winner will receive bodybuilding equipments and a cash award of Rs,10,000 and the first runner-up will receive a cash award of Rs, 5,000. The second runnerur will get a cash award of Rs 2,500. There will be a special contest for those who are over 40 years of age where 15 musclemen are expected to take part. The winner in this competition will receive a cash award of Rs, 10,000 and the first runner-up will receive a cash award of Rs. 7,500. The second runner -up receive a cash award of Rs 5,000. Sports Minister Naveen Disanayake will be the chief guests at the event. The qualifying round will kick off at 8.00 am and the final round at 3.30 pm.
