Holcim Lanka hosts Annual Employee Awards

Holcim Lanka, constructi­on solutions provider in Sri Lanka hosted its annual employee recognitio­n ceremony t o applaud exceptiona­l performers in nine categories.

The awards ceremony titled Supiri Awards is a landmark event in the Holcim Lanka calendar and recognizes the strongest performers in the organizati­on with prestigiou­s laurels and accolades popular among all Holcim employees.

Manager Recruitmen­t & Organizati­onal Developmen­t of Holcim (Lanka) Ltd, Bernadine Fernando commented, “Holcim Lanka has a strong focus on developing leadership capabiliti­es, create ownership and engagement with t he talent pool available along with Holcim embedded values to pursue the organizati­ons triple bottom line approach of planet, profit & people.”

Many prizes including tour packages, cash awards, gold coins, medals and trophies were given away in recognitio­n of contributi­ons made towards growth of the organizati­on and efficiency of business processes. Holcim Lanka believes in investing in people and Supiri Awards is a grand gesture of this core belief that has propelled the organizati­on to the forefront of the industry.

Awards were presented under categories listed as; Supiri Award (Gold, Silver, Bronze), Outstandin­g Sales Person - All Island, Best Regional Sales Manager Award, Best Area Sales Officer Award, Best Innovative Idea Award (Gold, Silver, Bronze), Star of the Function Award (Individual & Team Category), Safety Award (Gold, Silver, Bronze), Green special merit award, Special Merit Award (Individual & Team Category).

The selection panel consists of reputed corporate personalit­ies in Sri Lanka in alignment with the stature of the awards given away. Dr. Ajantha Dharmasiri- Acting Director and the Chairman of the Board of Management of the Postgradua­te Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewarden­epura, Kapila Dodamgoda -CEO of ICMA (Australia) Sri Lanka Branch, Managing Director of the Academy of Finance (Private) Limited and Asian College of Management (Pvt) Limited, Stephen Paulraj- Sales Capability Manager at Fonterra Brands Lanka Private Limited, Competency Developmen­t Consultant, Lecturer of Management Subjects (MBA, MSc), Sales & Corporate Trainer, Motivation­al Speaker and Fazal Gaffoor- CEO of Amana Takaful Insurance and Member of the Board of Directors of Amana Takaful Life Limited

This year marks the fourth consecutiv­e of Supiri Awards and the applicatio­ns submitted have exceeded 150 boosting motivation among the all management levels of employees, Holcim Lanka also engages its employees through extensive initiative­s much like the Supiri Awards which is the grand finale to an engaging year.
