Kaushalya, Sanitha, Kosala guide Moors SC

Kaushalya Gajasinghe along with Sanitha de Mel and Kosala Kulasekera shared eight wickets between them helping Moors SC record a massive 221 run win over defending champions in the Premier League Super Eight encounter which ended at R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.

Moors SC resuming the second innings from their overnight score of 288 for 8 added a further 52 runs and declared with their score on 340 for 8.

NCC left to a massive target of 442 runs for victory was no where near as they found the bowling trio too hot to handle and succumbed to a score of just 220 runs.

FIRST INNINGS WIN FOR ARMY SC

Army SC had to be satisfied with a first innings win over Badureliya SC in the Premier League Super Eight match concluded at the NCC ground yesterday.

The highlight of the match was a career best knock of 185 by Milinda Siriwarden­a in Badureliya SC’s innings. Milinda’s knock which came off 210 balls comprised 20 boundaries and two sixes.
