SHAHANIN MUSAFER NEE JARO

Appreciation

-

When you lose someone you love so unexpectedly it is terribly sad, shocking and extremely difficult to accept. Shahanin’s passing away happened so quickly that I still can’t believe she is no longer with us. You keep asking yourself why do such things happen in life?

Shahanin was a very kind hearted, loving, compassionate and caring person, amongst so many other wonderful qualities that she had and the list will go on. So very hospitable too....

She was like a daughter to me, so concerned of my food intake, the care and concern she showered whenever I was not well, advising me to remain calm and not to neglect my health, not to tire myself running around. Whenever I stayed at her home, she and her devoted husband Rumi would go out of their way to prepare food to my liking and ensure my stay was comfortable. Her words of advice keep ringing in my ears. I have now come to realize that even though she had a gentle, calm and quiet disposition she was a strong person within, consoling and advising others.

Shahanin always stood for family solidarity and was a shining example of enjoying family as one unit.

Still in a shock to come to terms of her sudden loss, and even though Shahanin was my niece I considered her as one of my own daughters, whose beautiful memory I shall love, cherish and remember for the rest of my life.

My dear sister-in-law/cousin Ezmaline described her daughter – “A precious soul with a heart of gold” - how very true.

May Almighty Allah grant Shahanin - Jannathul Firdouse.
