Opposition has no clue what to do: Ravi

-

“The opposition is morally bankrupt and it can do nothing else other than bring no confidence motions against myself, Ranil Wickremesinghe and Arjuna Mahendran. In the first place the opposition should bring one against themselves. They’re going on and on about this because they have nothing much to do or say. For the first time they have been exposed as being at a loss what to do” he said

Mr. Karunanayake said the opposition was pushing for the removal of the Central Bank Governor t hough they were unwilling to take responsibility or highlight the transgressions of former Governor Nivard Cabraal.

“The Supreme Court and the Bribery Commission are doing what they have to do in these matters, so I don’t know why the opposition is harping on this.

“Why don’t you turn the spot light inwards and look carefully at everything that happened from the day Ajith Nivard Cabraal took office till the day he resigned? There have been private placements happening for 11 years. That entire time they have been ruining the economy and it is unreasonable to expect all problems to be resolved in 100 days.

“If the opposition reveals everything that happened at that time, then we will ensure that it will not happen again” the minister said.

He made these comments shortly after a no-confidence motion against him was signed by more than 100 MPs.
