INDIAN DRUG TRAFFICKER GETS LIFE IMPRISONME­NT

An Indian who stood indicted with drug peddling and pleaded guilty was sentenced to life imprisonme­nt yesterday by the Negombo High Court Judge N.V. Karunatill­eka.

The accused Suheer Hussain (38) was a resident of Chennai in India and father of one child. He had attempted to smuggle a stock of heroin through the Katunayake Internatio­nal Airport on July 21,
