Sri Lanka A to make changes for final Test
Sri Lanka A – Pakistan A 3rd Unofficial Test
Sri Lanka A will make few changes ahead of the third and final unofficial Test match against Pakistan A which will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium starting today.
With the first two unofficial Tests which were played at R. Premadasa Stadium and Pallekele International Stadium ending in draws, the two sides’ would no doubt come into the field with a positive approach with the aim of winning the series.
With that in mind there will definitely be a few changes and according to sources the changes are also intended to give an opportunity to the players who have not played the first two Test matches.
The second Test saw some players from both sides getting back to their form. Dhananjaya de Silva, Kithuruwan Vithanage and Udara Jayasundara along with Pakistan’s Usman Salahuddin impressed with the bat, making useful half centuries.
However the late order batting of both sides failed to deliver the goods as they lost their last five wickets cheaply which happened in both the matches.
The weather is going to play a crucial role as the first two matches were hampered by rain and the full four days were not possible. According to news coming from Dambulla there has not been rain.
