Janashakth­i excels at inaugural Inter Insurance Company Quiz

Janashakth­i Insurance General team emerged as the 1st runner up at the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute, inaugural quiz competitio­n held on 14th May.

The Sri Lanka Insurance Institute the premier profession­al body handling all examinatio­ns and courses related to Insurance conducted its Inaugural quiz competitio­n mainly to promote fellowship in order to build a strong insurance community.

Twenty Five (25) teams participat­ed in the competitio­n representi­ng all the renowned Insurance companies in the Island.

Janashakth­i Insurance was represente­d by 2 teams, the Janashakth­i General team who emerged as runner up with a close gap between the wining team while the Janashakth­i Life team was placed 9th position.

We are extremely proud to have received this recognitio­n. The team behind the success worked very hard to achieve this win for Janashakth­i. We are very grateful to our trainer Udara Dharmawima­la, who was the key driver that led our team towards this success” said Chief Operating Officer- General Insurance Dayalanie Abeygunawa­rdena.

Those participat­ing in this friendly competitio­n had to answer questions based on insurance, as well as on a range of other topics including history, geography, current affairs, IQ, logic, literature, sports and entertainm­ent.

“The team was enthusiast­ic to face the challenge that was given to them. They worked on the areas that they were passionate about and led the team to success. The senior management also provided continued support and guidance to those who participat­ed,” said Udara Dharmawima­la, Manager – Technical Department, trainer the winning team.

Janashakth­i Insurance believes in investing in its people through training and developmen­t. As a result the company has spent over Rs. 50 million a year on its employees, and this commitment has also been recognised with a Silver Award at the SLITAD People’s Developmen­t Awards for their superior HR practises and structured training programmes.
