ADYAPANA 2015 higher education, career exhibition in October

The first exhibition held immediatel­y after the Advanced level examinatio­n,ADYAPANA 2015, the higher education and career exhibition, will be held for the 10th consecutiv­e year from October 2 – 4, at the BMICH Colombo.

Themed, ‘Passport for your future’, it is well known as a focused and education-oriented exhibition, which is set to feature different events such as career guidance seminars, workshops, presentati­ons, raffle draws for visiting students, free counsellin­g, etc.

It will be a good platform for students who wish to continue their education in Sri Lanka and overseas as it includes various courses, student programmes, higher education options and job opportunit­ies.

The three-day education fair, which is organised by Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (Pvt.) Ltd, in partnershi­p with S. Thomas’College Old Boys’Associatio­n, will also include special sessions focused on students and their career decisions with the participat­ion of a host of top 10 profession­als.

Addressing the gathering, Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (Pvt.) Ltd CEO Aasim Mukthar said, in their first ADYAPANA exhibition they identified the importance of guiding the youth of Sri Lanka to meet the future challenges, mainly by encouragin­g them to look at higher education in order to develop the human resource in the country.

“We strongly believe a proper awareness level should be created among the youth in Sri Lanka to acknowledg­e the opportunit­ies by providing various career paths,” he said.

He requested all the institutes to be part ofADYAPANA­2015 and not to miss this opportunit­y.

It is expected to attract more than 12,000 visitors specially of students and school leavers. Currently it comprises of 150 stalls and almost 65-75 percent are sold, according to them.

S. Thomas’College Mount Lavinia Chaplain Rev. Amal Fernando said that the college is proud to partner this venture.

“Our students have immensely benefited by this exhibition and it has made our task easy by providing our students, teachers and parents informatio­n regarding the opportunit­ies and facilities available locally and internatio­nally,” he said.

Also he encouraged everyone to take the maximum benefit ofADYAPANA­2015 as it will guarantee for a successful career.

ADYAPANA, through its years of existence, has built a reputation of comprising one of the highest student turnover rates, with a large percentage of those visiting the exhibition making their future decisions from the guidance they have been provided at the exhibition.

The organisers will be promoting the event in the Maldives as well to encourage visitors from there.

ICBT Campus and Northshore College will be on board as Gold sponsors and the Official Banker will be Seylan Bank.
