DIMO hosts Mercedes-Benz customers to extravagan­t evening

Diesel & Motor Engineerin­g PLC (DIMO) recently hosted their valued Mercedes-Benz customers to an extravagan­t evening t o appreciate t heir valued patronage and loyalty towards the three-pointed star.

This exclusive event was held at the DIMO 800 – ‘The New Mercedes-Benz Center’, and the invitees included patrons who had purchased Mercedes-Benz, Jeep and Chrysler vehicles from DIMO from 2014 onwards. The invitation was extended to their spouses too.

More t han 350 customers and their spouses were entertaine­d to an evening of classical compositio­ns, which included melodies of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, recreated in a unique contempora­ry style by renowned Composer and Pianist Harsha Makalanda. Mo z a r t ’s me l o d i e s lay the perfect setting for the evening i n t he presence of another German masterpiec­e; Mercedes-Benz.

Kenny Ng was the special invitee for the evening, representi­ng Daimler AG. He spoke of the relationsh­ip between Daimler and DIMO, and the importance of the event. He went onto mention about the technologi­cal innovation­s, future rollout plans and how Daimler has kept their faith in DIMO for the last several decades to deliver the best or nothing.

Ranjith Pandithage (Chairman/Managing Director – DIMO) mentioned that purchasing a Mercedes-Benz is a symbol of standing – a sign of accomplish­ment and a sign that you’ve reached. He also mentioned that purchasing a Mercedes-Benz from DIMO is a rational decision, when you consider it as a lifestyle investment. He further stated that this is a humble way of recognizin­g the trust that consumers have placed on Mercedes-Benz and DIMO.

Mount Lavinia Hotel arranged an impressive array of gastronomi­cal delights to deliver a unique experience to the invitees. The variety of the cuisine and the classical melodies created a collective ambience and feel for the customer appreciati­on night. Together, DIMO and Mount Lavinia created a unique occasion where customers tasted many delicacies for the first time.

DIMO was represente­d by Gahanath Pandithage (CEO), Rajeev Pandithage ( GM – Mercedes-Benz Sales and Parts), Tharanga Gunawarden­a (GM – Mercedes-Benz Service), Dinesh Gunaratne (Sales Manager – MercedesBe­nz) along with the senior management of DIMO and the Mercedes-Benz team.

DIMO also took this opportunit­y to unveil the all new Mercedes-Benz S-Coupe and the AMG GTS. For more than half a century, the flagship MercedesBe­nz coupe has advanced the state of the art, with industrych­anging breakthrou­ghs and uncompromi­sing pillar less style. The all-new S-Class Coupe is sleeker yet more muscular, smoother yet sharper, and irresistib­ly powerful, not just in its accelerati­on but in every alluring detail.
