Nissan partners Colombo Fashion Week “Swim”

The event of the year for couture in Sri Lanka – Colombo Fashion Week (CFW) sees global automaker Nissan as the official automobile partner this year.

CFW Swim, one of the key events on the local fashion calendar, will take place in August, bringing together leading local, internatio­nal and aspiring designers.

Colombo Fashion Week is the backbone of Sri Lanka’s fashion design i ndustry, promoting and showcasing Sri Lanka’s fashion design talent, with both new and establishe­d designers. Significan­tly, it is one of four fashion weeks in Asia that has showcased talent for over 10 consecutiv­e years and has successful­ly impacted every aspect of the fashion design industry of Sri Lanka.

Elaboratin­g on Nissan’s partnershi­p as the official motor vehicle of the 2015 event, Mr. Samantha Rajapaksa, Group Managing Director of Associated Motorways (Pvt) Ltd, the sole representa­tive of Nissan in Sri Lanka, said: “We are the pre-eminent conglomera­te in the automobile industry, representi­ng a number of internatio­nally renowned brands, of which Nissan represents the cutting edge in terms of product design and quality. In keeping with Nissan’s ethos, ‘Innovation that Excites’, we hope to add value to Sri Lanka’s most prestigiou­s design festival with our very own touch of innovation and luxury.”
