Commenting on this competition, Padeniya said, “As one who cares about the environment, I greatly appreciate Lankem’s efforts to strengthen the bond between man and nature. This was the very first time I took part in a competition of this nature and I do thank Lankem very much for launching me on my journey as a photographer.”
Lankem Ceylon PLC Paints General Manager Daminda Siriwardena said, “The response we had to this islandwide competition was extremely encouraging. I believe that as responsible citizens of this country and of this world, we should observe the beauty of nature every day and protect nature. The primary focus of this competition was also the importance of preserving and protecting the environment for future generations. This is our responsibility and we’re glad we have been able to spread the message.”
