PM cautions finance Ministry officials
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday cautioned finance ministry officials not to attempt to achieve through the United National Front Government’s budget the aspirations of those businessmen who were during the Rajapaksa-rule engaged in activities challenging the government policies after winning the confidence of MPs and Ministers. On receiving information about the deals of businessmen who carried out various types of activities during the former rule now attempting to achieve their aims through some Ministers of the present Government as well Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe referred to these overtures and warned the officials.

The Prime Minister also said that the Government of Good Governance would implement the future bilateral agreements through a committee headed by the State Minister of Enterprises Development Kabir Hashim.
