Three Army intelligence officers remanded
The two Lieutenant Colonels and a staff sergeant of the army intelligence unit who were in detention with the CID for alleged abduction and disappearance of Journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda were remanded on Monday by Homagama Acting Magistrate Suriyapperuma.

The Magistrate also ordered that these suspect intelligence officers be kept separated from the other suspects.
Investigations into this incident followed with the complaint made to the CID by Mrs Eknaligoda.
ASP Shani Abeysekera who appeared on behalf of the complainant submitted to courts a progress report of the investigations conducted thus far, and said that further investigations were in progress.
Attorney Dharsana Kuruppu appearing for the suspects pleaded that these suspects had strived at the risk of their lives to end a thirtyyear war, and that he rejects all the charges levelled against them.
The next date of hearing was fixed for November 23.
