Renuka becomes first coconut milk powder to receive SLS certification
Renuka coconut milk powder is a brand that is increasingly popular due to its high quality and consistent delivery of being one of the best products in the market today. Its quality commitment was further heightened as it was bestowed with the honour of being the only brand of coconut milk powder to be SLS certified, at a special event held at the Sri Lankan Standards Institution Auditorium in Narahenpita recently. The event was graced by the management of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) and members of Renuka Agri Foods PLC.
The SLS mark has been very familiar among many domestic consumers as it guarantees that the product conforms to the highest quality standards. Added preservatives, artificial colours and flavours in ‘convenience products’ that are detrimental to consumer health has been a major concern in recent times but the company ensures that Renuka coconut milk powder contains none of these and is 100 percent Sri Lankan as the SLS certification confirms. Conformity to standards are further ensured through regular surveillance of the manufacturing process, surprise inspections and testing of samples drawn from the factory as well as from the market.
