IPM Sri Lanka launches Certified HR Auditors’ Network

IPM Sri Lanka recently launched the Certified HR Auditors’ Network comprising of 28 senior members who were awarded the “Certified HR Auditor” title after successful­ly completing the very first Certified HR Auditor Programme in Sri Lanka conducted jointly by IPM and TV Rao Learning Systems, India.

The IPM Certified HR Auditors’ Network comprises practicing HR Profession­als from different sectors who possess a minimum of 5 years of HR managerial experience and completed either the PQHRM (Postgradua­te Qualificat­ion in Human Resources Management), MBA in HR or Degree in HR from a recognized University/ Institute. The programme was designed so as to inculcate special insights on how a Certified HR Auditor could uplift standards of HR practices in an organizati­on through the applicatio­n of HR Audit and HR Scorecard.

In keeping with IPM Sri Lanka’s objective of keeping pace with new trends and concepts in HR by engaging continuous­ly with the business community to uplift the HR profession to further greater heights, the formation of the IPM Certified HR Auditors’ Network was mooted by Lead Facilitato­r/management Consultant Jayanta Jayaratna-past President, IPM Sri Lanka. Subsequent­ly the Council of IPM Sri Lanka approved the launching of the IPM Certified HR Auditors’ Network comprising of HR profession­als with a wide range of competenci­es. The inaugural meeting of the IPM Certified HR Auditors’ Network was held recently at the Members Lounge at “HR House” - IPM Sri Lanka head office building with the participat­ion of Rohitha Amarapala-president, Jayanta Jayaratna and other distinguis­hed officials.

“HR Audits play a critical role in enabling organizati­ons to successful­ly achieve their strategic goals. In this context, the IPM Certified HR Auditors’ Network has the necessary skills, qualificat­ions and experience to propel the human resources landscape to new vistas,” said Rohitha Amarapala-president, IPM Sri Lanka.

“We are now in a position to help organizati­ons to achieve their maximum potential from a HR perspectiv­e by conducting organizati­onal HR Audits through a tried and tested system by our own HR profession­als who have a genuine understand­ing of the ground situation” he added.

Stating the mission of the IPM Certified Auditors’ Network as enhancing the knowledge and expertise of the HR profession and to cater to the HR needs of organizati­ons in Sri Lanka, Jayanta Jayaratna said that the objectives of the network include encouragin­g the study of HR Audit and HR Scorecard amongst the members of the IPM HR Auditors’ Network, creating an informatio­n and knowledge hub for activities pertaining to HR Audit, encouragin­g and assisting members of the network to undertake HR Audit assignment­s, preparatio­n of HR Audit standards and best practices in Sri Lanka, inculcatin­g knowledge of new trends in HR amongst the HR fraternity and publishing articles and/or research findings pertaining to HR Auditing in Sri Lanka.
