Dr. S.M. Balaji elected President of ICD
Dr. S.M. Balaji was elected President of the International College of Dentists (ICD), for the India, Sri Lanka and Nepal Section at the last ICD meeting held in New Delhi. He was inducted as President at the ICD’S annual convocation held
in Mumbai recently. Dr. A. Kumar Swamy is seen placing the Presidential Collar on Dr. Balaji. Also seen are UK President ICD International Dr. Phillip Dowell and ICD Secretary General Dr. Rajiv Chugh.
ICD International was begun in 1920 and currently has 12,000 members in 122 countries. The entry to this society is by invitation only.
Dr. Balaji is the first dentist from Tamil Nadu as well as the youngest to be elected to this coveted post.
