Eight cueists maintain unbeaten record
Eight cueists, five in billiards and three in snooker categories maintained their unbeaten record at the end of the third day’s proceedings of the 15th Asian Billiards and 17th U21 Asian Junior Snooker which is in progress now at Hotel Ramada in Colombo.
The five billiards players to remain unbeaten were three Indians defending champion Dhruv Sitwala of India who won all his matches in his group, Pankaj Advani who also won all his five games and Siddharth Parikh and the other two players were Praprut Chaithanasakun (Thailand) and Peter Gilchrist (Singapore).
In the junior snooker championship China’s 15 year old Yuan Sijun continued his winning spree along with Ratchayothin Yotharuck (Thailand) and Mohamed Fazil (Sri Lanka) as they won all their four matches to remain unbeaten.
The two tournaments are being played concurrently and conducted by the Sri Lanka Billiards and Snooker Association with Pyramid, Wilmar and Fortune as the principal sponsor along with Malship, Singer and Laugfs Gas PLC as platinum sponsors. Results Day Three: Billiards:
