Mr. Fernando said the educational tour would be helpful to enhance the capacity, knowledge and the quality of scouting. He also said scouting was a fun, excitement and an educational source for the young generation even though it was hard work for the seniors including the District Commissioners who would be participating in the educational tour.
Meanwhile, the chief guest for the function, High Commissioner to Malaysia Zaid Wan Abdullah said he would warmly welcome all the Sri Lankan District Commissioners to Malaysia.
“There is no difference between Colombo and Kuala Lampur, and also between Sri Lanka and Malaysia. I would like to welcome all the Sri Lankan District Commissioners to have an excellent experience and good knowledge from this specially-designed training course. What we all need is good guidance and encouragement,” he added.
