LASEN AND MANEESHA BAG SINGLES TT TITLES
Lasen Githmal of Royal College, Colombo and Maneesha Shalindi of Karandeniya Central College, Karandeniya won the Intermediate men’s and women’s singles titles at the All Island Intermediate and Novices Table Tennis championships held at the S. Thomas’ Indoor Stadium, Mt. Lavinia.
The two day competition was conducted by the GSM Table Tennis Academy. The chief guest was Commander Damith Chandrasekera of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
In the final Lasen Githmal beat Yasith Jayasinghe of the University of Moratuwa 11,5 / 6,11 / 11,8.
In the women’s singles Maneesha Shalindi of Karandeniya Central College, Karandeniya bt Aishcharya Lakshani of Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya , Kegalle 11,3 / 11,6.
Manissha Shalindi won two titles at the meet. They were the intermediate women’s singles and the novice’s women’s singles.
