Canon IR 2004N redefines new standard in WI-FI copying

Canon’s newest addition to its Image Runner (IR) range the IR 2004N has set the benchmark for the copier with its standard WI-FI feature and smart functional­ities.

The copier has been integrated with smart features that include WI-FI operations, greater document security features, speedier copy / print times and minimum energy usage function.

“The inbuilt wifi function is not only for desktops and laptops, it can wirelessly connect computer, mobile, tab any device even on the go saving time and increasing productivi­ty,” said Ali Asgar Roshanali, Director Metropolit­an Office Pvt Ltd.

Canon IR 2004N works with Google Cloud print which enables ‘print on the go’ from a smart phone or laptop once the cloud print app is enabled in the device.

“This machine can facilitate scanning to a computer in various file formats (JPEG, TIFF, PDF) with the multifunct­ion toolbox software. One can also attach scanned images to email or store them in specific folders. Initial scan settings can also be configured t suit your workflow, reducing the need to re enter frequently used settings, saving time and effort,” said Dinesh Lowe, Sales and Marketing Manager at Metropolit­an Office Pvt Ltd.

The machine can be managed using a Department ID to access and track device usage upto 100 users and selective access privileges can be assigned or restricted.

Further, it allows duplex copying into a single print out effortless­ly. The quick warm up times of the IR 2004N operates by instantly transferri­ng heat to the device’s heating elements for a shorter warm up time enabling it to be ready for printing in seconds. This ensures that the multifunct­ion device remain energy efficient and environmen­tally-friendly.
