IWS Holdings opens hightech Volvo showroom and service facility

Volvo Cars Sri Lanka, a new subsidiary under the IWS Holdings Group, hosted the grand launch of its state-of-the-art showroom and fully-fledged service facility in Peliyagoda this week.

The 20,000 square foot 3S facility which will provide sales, service and spare partsis expected to be among one of the best in Asia, and is developed with an investment of Rs.250 million to offer customer services that are on par with global standards.

As Volvo’s new official importer and dealer in the country, Volvo Cars Sri Lanka has introduced a range of models such as the award-winning XC90, V40, S60, XC60 and the new S90 which was officially unveiled during the launch.

The S90 which is built on Volvo’s advanced modular product platform, Scalable Product Architectu­re (SPA), confirms Volvo’s leadership in the field of automotive safety with extended functional­ity of Volvo’s Safety features. The S90 has already gained global recognitio­n, and recently won the award for Design of the Yearat the Geneva motor show. Volvo cars emphasize the Swedish brand’s key features such as safety, style and comfort, and the new Volvo Cars Sri Lanka facility is well-equipped to maintain their quality standards.

The facility will offer a full range of spare parts, technologi­cally advanced hoists, in-house wheel alignment equipment and 24-hour breakdown services countrywid­e.

To offer the ultimate Volvo experience all workshop, sales and front office staff have undergone profession­al training from Volvo Car Corporatio­n to meet Volvo’s global standards.

“We are pleased to offer a facility that provides multiple services which were previously not provided by an automotive company in Sri Lanka. We also consider it a privilege to introduce a new range of Volvo cars that are ideal for the local market. Volvo cars are famously known for their safety and comfort and are built on the concept ‘Designed around you’ to focus on people’s needs. We wanted to be the official agent for this brand because it provides unparallel­ed quality that is recognized throughout the world, and we’re fully equipped to serve our customers,” Chairman of IWS Holdings, Arthur Senanayake said.

IWS Holdings with the lead of Chairman Senanayake is investing significan­t amounts of money to start up the Volvo Cars business in Sri Lanka.
