Thisas and Sanaya Most Outstandin­g TT players

Thisas Ranchigoda (Royal College, Colombo) and Sanaya Buddhadasa (Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo) bagged the Most Outstandin­g Awards for at the Western Province Ranking Table Tennis Championsh­ips, held at the S. Thomas’ Indoor Stadium Mt.lavinia.

The competitio­n was conducted by the Nugegoda Table Tennis Club.

420 Table Tennis players from the Western Province took part in the competitio­n.

In the Under 18 singles Thisas Ranchigoda beat Helitha Hendawitha­rane of Royal College, Colombo.

Sanaya Buddhadasa beat Jithara Wickremaso­oriya in the women’s singles. For these performanc­es Thisas and Sanaya went on to win the awards for the Most Outstandin­g Players in the competitio­n.

Senura de Silva of Ananda College and Jithara Warnakulas­uriya of Ladies College went on to win the awards for the Most Promising Players.
