CA Sri Lanka recognizes 13 accredited learning partners

The Institute of Chartered Accountant­s of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently recognized 13 profession­al education providers as Accredited Learning Partners.

The 13 Accredited Learning Partners will help produce versatile chartered accountant­s by strengthen­ing the knowledge delivery process, while also enabling learning partners to improve the education standards in line with internatio­nal standards, as per the guidelines issued by the Internatio­nal Federation of Accountant­s (IFAC SMO 2) and the Report on the Observance of Standards and Codes - Accounting & Auditing (ROSC Report) recommenda­tions issued by the World Bank.

The learning partners who are based across the country were recognized under three categories, executive, business and corporate levels; as well as executive and business levels and the executive level.

Leading profession­al education providers such as the Institute for Accounting Studies, Colombo, JMC Jayasekara Management Centre (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo, Inspiro Business School, Nugegoda and KBBS Campus, Colombo were granted accreditat­ion to conduct lectures for all three levels (Executive, Business & Corporate) of the CA curriculum, while IBA Campus, Kandy, Institute of Business Management, Jaffna, National Institute of Cooperativ­e Developmen­t, Kandy and Sipwin Institute, Kurunegala­were granted accreditat­ion to conduct lectures for the Executive and Business levels of the CA Qualificat­ion.

Meanwhile, IPC Institute of Profession­al Creation (Pvt) Ltd, Kalutara South, IPM Institute of Profession­al Management, Peradeniya, Jaffna College Undergradu­ate Department, Jaffna, MBS Educationa­l Services (Minka Business School), Galle and the Institute of Vision Launch (IVL), Batticaloa­were granted accreditat­ion by CA Sri Lanka to conduct lectures for the Executive level. Speaking at the event, President of CA Sri Lanka, Lasantha Wickremasi­nghe said that as an institute which believes in quality more than quantity, CA Sri Lanka has taken every step to ensure all its partners including learning partners are the best, to ensure the institute’s student population receives the best of education in their pursuit to become chartered accountant­s.

“The success of a globally sought after chartered accountant depends on the learning and training they receive during the early stages. Therefore, there is no doubt that a solid education provided by a learning partner will help them progress towards becoming exceptiona­lly talented chartered accountant­s,” he said.
