The stage is all set for a great game of rugby, when the historic rivalry between the Royalists and the Trinitians continues on field, at the 2nd leg of the 73rd Bradby Shield, scheduled to be held at Royal College, Sports Complex on the 3rd June.

The action is more intensified with Royal recording a victory 22 – 17 against the Trinity at their home in the first leg, which made them the champions of Inter-school Rugby Championship 2017.

As Colombo anticipates a packed house at the venue with Rugby fans from both parts of the country, Milo has partnered with the Royal College Union to present the Bradby Fiesta 2017. ‘Bradby Fiesta’, the much anticipated carnival and the after party that coincides with the Colombo Leg of the Bradby Shield shall be open for the public from 9.00 a.m. on Saturday, 3rd June.

Adding to the excitement of the game, carnival atmosphere and the festivities, Milo in partnership with the RCU has lined up a host of activities to engage the kids along with their families at the ‘fiesta’.

The special kids’ zone at the Bradby Fiesta will include a breakfast zone, fun and energy moves, fun selfies, a wide array of games specially designed for children and many more. Milo together with the organizers have taken special care and effort to ensure that these games present a challenge in both aspects physically and mentally, so that ‘fiesta’ would offer something more than a game for kids.

While so many attractive and exciting giveaways from Milo await the players of tomorrow, ‘Fiesta’ offers fun, excitement and learning experience for them together with the opportunity to bond with their parents and friends. So ‘Fiesta 2017’ calls for the kids not to miss this once in a year opportunity to have fun, learn and win at the same time.

‘Fiesta 2017’ also features a ‘Nutri corner’ in partnership with Milo, where free nutritional counseling for parents are provided, with a view to promote the importance of a healthy active lifestyle and food habits in kids.

The organizers of ‘Bradby Fiesta 2017’ have made all arrangements to host a tag rugby tournament to promote and infuse the need amongst the young participants to take up the game in the future. More than 10 schools so far have confirmed their participation at one of the first ever tag rugby competition of this magnitude is hosted for school children in Sri Lanka.

Nestle Lanka PLC entered into a three year contract with the Royal College Union to empower Bradby Fiesta together with other sponsors. ‘Milo’ – being one of the leading among an array of products offered to the Sri Lankan consumer by Nestle - holds a reputation of being a strong supporter and a promoter of school sports for over 3 decades by nurturing the young talent while empowering the lives of hundreds of thousands of promising athletes each year.

The increasing tendency in Sri Lankan business ventures partnering to facilitate the event is a key indicator of the popularity the ‘Bradby Fiesta’ has gained in a short span of time.

When the dawn brings an end to this exciting rugby e`ncounter the after party shall burst with a fiery performance by DJ Mira – a Ukrainian born female DJ – as the evening sky is lit up with fireworks. ‘Bradby Fiesta’ will guarantee the best party experience in 2017, with back to back performance by the giants in the Sri Lankan entertainment industry, such as ‘Black’, ‘BNS’, Natasha Rathnayaka, , Shermaine Willis and many more.
